The Jefferson Scorpions did indeed start out as the Waukesha Scorpions. With the Milwaukee area saturated with football teams already the Scorpions were looking for a new home. Dennis and Chris Sukow of Kemmeters Corner in Jefferson were very inviting to the team by building a field for playing on and promoting the team. The Scorpions had received a great opportunity to bring semi-pro football to Jefferson and could not pass it up. After many meetings and talking with the team we became the Jefferson Scorpions.
